Biography
Dr Gee Chapman got her B.Sc. Honours degree in South Africa, before immigrating to Australia more years ago than she likes to remember. She worked as a Professional Officer in the School of Biological Sciences, while completing a M.Sc. and then a Ph.D. in marine ecology. After leaving the School to work with Tony Underwood in the Institute of Marine Ecology, eventually taking over as Director of the Institute and Deputy Director of the Centre when the Federal Government funded the Centre for Research on Ecological Impacts of Coastal Cities at the University of Sydney in 1997. Gee has a range of research and teaching interests in the Centre, which can be viewed on the Web page (www.eicc.bio.usyd.edu.au)
