Ms. Amy K. Hahs
Ph.D. Student, Research Officer
Australian Research Centre for Urban Ecology

Biography
Amy has been a Ph.D. student with ARCUE since March 1999. Her project is titled: "Vegetation dynamics and litter dynamics in Red Gum Woodlands of urban Melbourne". She is using a combination of remote sensing techniques, GIS and vegetation surveys to investigate the impacts of urbanisation on remnant patches of vegetation. This information will contribute to informed decision-making regarding the conservation and management of biological diversity for plant communities in the Melbourne area.

She is currently employed as a Research Officer at ARCUE, where she is responsible for quantifying the spatial and temporal availability of fruit and nectar bearing trees in the greater Melbourne area.
