Biography
Tara Trammell is the Biogeochemical Research Technologist for Dr. Margaret Carreiro's research laboratory at the University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, USA. Ms. Trammell earned her masters degree (M.S. in Biology) from the University of Louisville in 2001. Her thesis research determined effects of prescribed fire on nutrient losses from forest-glade habitats. In 1996, Tara received a B.A. in Mathematics from Berea College, Berea, KY.

Tara's research interests include forest ecosystem processes, landscape ecology, and vegetation structure and function in urban environments. She recently completed two Geographic Information Systems (GIS) courses including spatial projects focusing on urban landscape issues. Tara intends to pursue a doctoral degree (Fall 2004) and hopes to conduct research on vegetation responses and spatial distributions in the urban environment.
